My husband Kevin worked with Marguerite at VHB back in 2001. I remember moving down to Williamsburg from NYC and not knowing anybody. Marguerite and I had music in common. She had such a lovely voice and was a wonderful guitar player. We would go over to her house and practice chords from the Michelle Branch song "Goodbye to You." Marguerite Wonsey looms large in the history of my developing years. She was my best friend in junior high, and lived just down the street from me. She taught me my first guitar chords, and was the reason I asked for (and received) a guitar for Christmas in 1965. We spent many hours working out chords for the songs of the day. I was shocked and deeply saddened to read that Marguerite is no longer with us. There was not a more sweet or gentle spirit than hers. My thoughts are with all whose lives she touched.

What a sad day to realize that Marguerite has passed on. She was always so friendly and welcoming, and she had a sweet and optimistic approach to life. She will be missed.
