To Joe and family. Tom & I were so sorry to hear about the loss of Barbara. Shocked, at such a young age. She truly was a wonderful, kind and talented person. Having been a childhood frend of hers, I have great memories of her climbing trees with me and going to recreation camp and just being such a fun person. She will truly be missed by all. Love Claire & Tom

Dear Joe, and boys: We are so sorry about Barbara's passing, especially since it was not possible for us to be there with you. We have so many fond memories of Barbara. Jane recalls the several enjoyable weekends at Idle'our, the party barge, and the September Sons. I remember training her for her first 10K race, and her performance at the touch football game in our front yard in Pain-ham. We will miss Barbara very much. We remember her as a great lady who was, in the words of Neil Diamond, " done too soon. " Love from us.

My deepest condolences to Mrs. Ward's family and friends. Mrs. Ward was my Gym teacher at the Ohrenberger Elementary School for 6 years. She was so caring and passionate with the kids, especially those that were the most difficult. Her patience, dedication and sportsmanship were such an inspiration and she was loved by the whole school and community. I will always remember the yearly field/sports days where Mrs. Ward was in charge of 100's of overexcited kids but loved every minute of it. God bless and Rest in Peace.

Our lives were touched by Barbara in Boulder City, NV. We are blessed to be friends with her sister Anne. When Barb, Sally and Joe would come out, Barb always made time for my children, Eddie and Sam. She was either throwing the ball for Eddie, giving him baseball pointers, going golfing or just lazing by the pool. That was the Barbara that we knew and loved. Always the coach...We will all miss that laugh. Your the best!

Barbara Ward was a great teacher and a great coach. I remember running around the track as warm ups and being exhausted before practice. I try to take with me that lesson you need to keep moving even when it's not easy. My prayers and thoughts goes out to her family. Eunice Torres The English High Softball Team Class of 1986
