Billy Joe Vines

VINES, BILLY JOE - Born on August 6, 1926 in Roscoe, Texas and passed away on November 7, 2012 at home in Garland, Texas surrounded by his family. Joe was an employee of American Airlines and retired after 30 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is preceded in death by parents Mike & Lois Vines; brother, Dan Vines; son, Weldon Leon Vines; and grandsons, Christian Vines and Justin Luster. Joe is survived by his wife of 52 years of marriage, Jettie Lou Vines; five sons, Michael Joe Vines and wife Janice, Billy Vines and wife Linda, Michael Seth Luster and wife Linda, Kenneth Luster and wife Maria, and Tim Vines and wife Patti; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Joe was an avid hunter and gardener and lovingly shared his hobbies with his family and a huge fan of the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 PM on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held at 12:30 PM on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
