Memories & Candles
I worked with Garth on various programs at Martin Marietta in Orlando. In my view Garth was one of the best Quality leaders and was fair in his decisions between Quality and Engineering. Garth was liked by all that worked for and/or with him - he will be missed! Your family remains in our thoughts and prayers.

I will miss you as a friend , coworker , Realm bowler and compassionate man. I still use the device you designed and built for me to ease my difficulties when doing yardwork. You made the world a bit better through your toughtfullness and willingness to help others. STEVE

My world will be a little grayer with Garth not there. I met him the first day at Martin in July 1957 and over the years, considered him a second Dad. I coud always depend on Garth for a shoulder to cry on or some sound advice. Had lunch with he and Dot when we were in Orlando visiting in 2007. The family can be proud of him for being -"Whatta Guy". Farewell dear heart!

It was a pleasure and a privilege to have worked with Garth in the OSC workshop. My time at OSC was much brighter because Garth was there. He will be missed.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family and friends supporting and caring for each other at this time, celebrating his life. I feel fortunate to have grown up in a community that allowed me to know Melanie and her family

Garth was skilled wood worker. I asked him to build a cabinet to house electronics for the sound system for our new sanctuary at Pershing Ave. Christian Church. He said you design it and I will build it. He did a beutiful job which saved a lot of money for our church. He was a great builder of sailing ship models also.

You could always count on Garth to attend the Retired Employees Association of Lockheed Martin (REALM) meetings and help with the mail-out of their Newsletter. He went on most of the luncheons, cruises and day trips sponsored by the Club.
Garth had a special place in his heart for the Russell Home for Atypical Children and expressed his desire to help them as much as possible.
We will miss Garth very much!
