Dr. Gene Nathan Barrett Obituary

I JUST HEARD OF THE PASSING OF DR GENE AND MY HEART ACHES. HE WAS THE PEDIATRITION FOR MY 3 CHILDREN AND 5 OF MY GRAND CHILDREN. HE WAS GREATLY LOVED BY ALL THAT KNEW HIM. MY CHILDREN & GRANDCHILDREN ALL LOVED HIM FOR HIS TENDER, GENTLE AND LOVING CARE HE SHOWED, NOT ONLY TO HIS PATIENTS BUT THE PARENTS OF THE CHILDREN HE CARED FOR. OUR PRAYERS GO OUT FOR ALL HIS LOVED ONES.

I am just now hearing of Dr. Gene's passing and it just breaks my heart. What a wonderful man and doctor. My children loved him and were never afraid to go see Dr. Gene. He will be missed so much. My prayers are with his family and all the patients who will miss him so much.

"A man does not have to be an angel in order to be a saint," Dr. Albert Schweitzer.

Heaven can now claim to have both angel and saint, with Dr. Gene Barrett.

Dr. Gene was mine and my brother's pediatrician for 22 years. He always made us feel comfortable and warm. His bedside manner could not be compared. We will always remember Dr. Gene as a warm, loving, kind-hearted person and friend. He will be missed dearly.

We love you!

Thirty-two years ago, Dr. Gene and Dr George became my newborn son's pediatrician. Dr. Gene would share stories of his own young childhood antic while examining my son.. Sure took the pressure off of a mom worring about her sick child..

Heaven has a special place for men like Dr. Gene. He was a fabulous doctor. I remember visiting him as a child and when I had my own children, I knew Douglas Pediatrics is where I wanted to take them. He was so much more than a doctor; he was a friend. I remember calling the after hours line late at night when my little ones were sick and being so releaved when he'd call me back. He was so

He was truly a wonderful man and doctor. He will be missed terribly. He always had a kind voice and always had a way of putting children at ease. He had a kind soul and he always had a way of making you feel better...

I will always remember Dr.Gene's wonderful laugh. He was not our regular doctor in the practice, but whenever we saw him for a sick visit, he was so good with my kids, Bryan and Katie. He was a great doctor and also a wonderful man. Dr. Gene you will be missed

I am an employee of Dr Barrett.
I can say for sure the world
has lost a great man and a wonderful
Dr. He helped so many people during
his life. He could calm any upset
parent and bring help to any sick
pt. At the same time making you laugh
and feeling well taken care of.
That is what makes a good Dr.
He will be missed by many
