Hi Jane and Don,
I want to express my sympathy. But wow does this bring back a ton of great memories of 4-H!! Your mom was one of those people that young kids just respected.

Dear Jane and John, Don and Jean and families,
My deepest sympathy to all of you. I have many memories of visits with Gladys, and with all of you, and always enjoyed her cheerful and caring ways. I appreciate how after your father's passing and that of my mother, that Gladys and Dad shared many good times together. She was a very special person.
Love,
Carolyn Hansen

Jane, Don and family,
We wish we could be there this weekend to support all of you and share in some of the warm memories of Gladys, but we will be gone to Texas. Gladys was a wonderful woman full of smiles and laughter and always so interested in conversation and others. She is fondly remembered and will never be forgotten. We love all of you and will pray for your peace and comfort.

"She died peacefully" which is exactly how she lived and cared for others. I remember her from years ago when she was always at the Calumet County Fair in the Flower Building and around the grounds. I remember her words in helping children learn baking lessons: always measure EXACTLY and I tried to do that, always recalling her words. Jane and Don, you were blessed to have such a great mom! Remember the good times, celebrate her life, not her death. Heaven is a better place now.

Mrs. Goeldi as I referred to her was a wonderful lady. I had the priveledge of having her help when I taught preschool in New Holstein. The children and I loved when Mrs. Goeldi was the helper for the day. Her smiling face and wonderful dispostion just generated from her. Over the years I have thought about her and it always brought a smile to my face. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to know her.
