Memories & Candles
Mr. Humphreys was truly a gentleman. He's the father of one of my closest friends. I met in '94 and saw him at least 100 times in my life. During that time, I never heard him say anything negative about anyone. He was a fine example of what a person should be. He was mild mannered, soft-spoken and hard-working-and very much a shining example of the way we should all live our lives.
My condolences to Mrs. Humphreys, Carter, Charles & Craig and to his grandchildren.

So sorry for your loss. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Uncle Carter always gave 100% of his attention to his grandchildren when they were toddlers. The same attention was given to my children when we visited the south in "Alex". That was 15 years ago but seems like yesterday. Uncle Carter introduced me to fried alligator, crayfish gumbo and many more southern fine foods that can only be found in the south. You're still alive in my memories (and taste buds).
