Bob Hopkins and I began our teaching careers in Avilla, Inidna. Along with Arlo
Schilling, and Dave Hiatt, our families maintained a close friendship through the 90s. He was of sterling character.

Mr. Hopkins was my band teacher at Lane MS. He was one of my favorite teachers. I always looked forward to go to his class. Over the years I have thought about him often and wondered if he still taught Band classes. He was a great teacher and man. May you rest in peace, Mr. Hopkins! God Bless the family during this time of loss.

Uncle Bob along with my Dad and other uncles kept us laughing, remembering the Hopkins get togethers, very happy memories.
We will miss you uncle Bob.

My favorite memory of Uncle Bob was gathering around the table at my parents home in Florida and playing cards. So many corny jokes and laughter filled the air. It still brings a smile to my face when I think back on those times. He will be greatly missed. Love you Uncle Bob.
