I am so sorry to hear about Violet's passing. I used to know her online because of a mutual interest in Stephen King, books in general and lighthouses. Not much lighthouses in Belgium so I loved it when she told me about the ones over there.
I will always remember Violet, and count myself very lucky to have known her.

I was very shocked to hear of Violets passing. Actually I was just looking her up to see if she had a facebook account. It's been a few years since I last talked to her.I was her maid of Honor when her & Larry got married. She was a wonderful person . As time went on we went our seperaate ways but we always seemed to get in touch every now & then. May you rest in peace my friend. My thoughts & prayers go out to the family. May god give you all strength.

Living so far apart, when we did get together - we had fun. Photo Violet, Chuck & Sandy

It hurts me deeply to say goodbye to my baby sister and the fact that being the oldest I am the last one left of our family. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect to outlive our family.

Sandy and I take comfort to know that you now are with Mom, Dad, Betty, Elaine and Gwen. I'm going to miss you more than you know

All my love......Chuck

I was blessed to work with Violet for several years. It is said that people come
into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. We both felt that we knew the reason and were so grateful. Our season working together was much too short but I knew when she moved we would be friends for a lifetime. She loved Larry with all her heart and was so grateful for his devotion and care. I am going to miss her but so glad she was my friend.

As we look to the horizon, we see the beauty of the sailing ship vanish into the distance saying "There she goes." At the same time, the voices in heaven rise proclaiming "HERE SHE COMES!!!" Our beloved Lady Pirate always loved that poem.

Farewell and Bon Voyage my friend. While you may fade from view, you will never fade from memory!

Violet and I celebrated our birth days one day apart.Violets was Sept 26 th and mine is Sept 25th. We shared some happy moments together on our birthdays. She and I shared a love for Lighthouses. Violet opend her home to me when I had a knee replacement a few years back. She was a very loving and caring person.I'll surely miss my weekly visits with her , personally or via phone or e-mail.
I'm deeply saddened but grateful her suffering has ended.
Love and miss you Violet.
