Tommy Gordy age 68, of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away Tuesday – February 5, 2013 at his home. He was born in Chickamauga to the late Thomas Chapman Gordy & Mary Alice Foster Gordy. He was a lifelong resident of the Northwest Georgia area. He was co-owner of Gordy roofing where he and his brother have roofed for more than forty years. He was a member of Chattanooga Valley Church of Christ where he had enjoyed serving in the shut-in ministry, taking care of maintenance and any other ministries he could serve in. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Virginia Faye Pedigo Gordy, siblings: Sarah Ella Williams, John Thomas Dodd, R.C. Dodd, John Dodd, Argen Dodd, Betty West, Cleve Blevins and Joyce Rogers. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Martha Diane & Olin Howie of Chattanooga, TN, Tracy Lynn Capps, Tommie Ann Kellogg both of Chickamauga, GA, Donna Kaye & Michael Montgomery of Rossville, GA, sister: Barbara Wilson of Rossville, GA, Larry Gordy of Flintstone, GA, grandchildren: Kayla Leigh 'Ann Ignacio, John Anthony Bradshaw, Dakota Ryan Bradshaw, Jessie Ray Kellogg, Thomas Virgil Kellogg, Quartell Deshuan Montgomery, Kobe Parks Montgomery, Trey LaBron Montgomery and Dezon Montain Irvin, great-grandchildren: Arianna Isbell Ignacio and Tucker James Hutchins Kellogg. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm Thursday and all day Friday. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon – Saturday – February 9, 20013 at Chattanooga Valley Church of Christ with Ministers: Peter Wesson and Dick Hillis officiating.
