I am sad to hear about Johnny's passing. The news of his passing felt like someone thrust a knife in my gut. My wife Angie and I will sadly miss him, but we have some comfort in knowing he will always be in our hearts.

We wish we could be at the wake and funeral, but unfortunately we can not make it down there. We are sorry for that.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary
troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (NIV)

John was father-in-law to my niece who married his son Mike. I never met John but knew he was a hard worker who loved life.
