I have fond memories of both Helena & Walt Lofy - living next door to them, they are a constant part of my child hood. From Walt weeding his garden, working in the garage while listening to teh St. Louis Cardinal baseball game . Helena nurturing her flowers or at Christmas time, dropping of a tin full of wonderful cookies.

When thinking back to my childhood, they are a constant part of it - I have always hoped I could be as good of a neighbor, as they were to me and my parents.

I last lived next door to the Lofiy' in 1982, but even with the passage of time, , I still consdier them neighbors adn suspect I always will.

While I met Helen a few times on visits to Springfield with Joe she passed on her wonderful sense of well being and grace which was very special.
