Francie Cogar Turner, 94, of Hopewell, formerly of Ashland passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011 in the Hopewell Health Care. She is survived by three children, Joe of Logan, W. VA, Renee of Alpharetta, GA and Myron of Hopewell, VA., three grandchildren and six great grandchildren The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 pm Thursday, September 8, 2011 at the Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with Pastor Dale Ashley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 15583 Coatesville Road, Beaverdam, VA 23015
