Marines Emblem

Alfred Charles Lackner, Jr., 70 of Caret died Monday June 11, 2012.

He served two tours in Vietnam during his 22 year career in the United States Marine Corp and then retired again from a career as a defense contractor with Boeing.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Bettye Lackner; four children, Alfred C. Lackner III, Mary Anne Coble, Dewey Lackner and Dr. Flora Williams; four sisters, Shirley Knerr, Jeanette Lackner, Joan Guth and Carol Lackner; two grandchildren, Alfred C. "Teddy" Lackner IV and Ava Williams.

A funeral service will be held Friday June 15th at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, with burial to follow in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery, Supply. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, one hour prior to the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
