Alice Olice Allen, 87, of Williamsburg, died on Thursday, August 23, 2012. Mrs. Allen worked as a housekeeper and was a member of Chickahominy Baptist Church in Toano.

Mrs. Allen was a loving and wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and her family will miss her. She enjoyed singing and church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Spencer Allen; two sons, Jerry and George; three sisters and three brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Thelma Barbour and her husband, James; seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, where the funeral will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Williamsburg Memorial Park.
