Allen Richard Maillard, 76, of Hopewell passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in John Randolph Medical Center. Allen was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a member of the Colonial Heights Moose Lodge and a retired U.S. Army veteran with twenty three years of service. He is survived by his wife, Janice K. Maillard, two sons, Michael Maillard and his wife, Linda, Jeffrey Maillard, three grandchildren, David Maillard,David and Angela Gecsey, three great grandchildren, Devin Michael Maillard, Jacob and Kayla Gecsey. A memorial service will be conducted 7:00 pm Monday, March 28, 2011 at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Avenue, Hopewell with Rev. Bert Duckwall officiating. Visitation will follow the service until 8:30 pm. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
