August J. (Gus) Kurcz, 77, of Sherwood passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on June 20, 1935 Rose and Henry Kurcz.
He was preceded in death by his parents; twin daughters; two sisters, Pauline Kurcz and Leona Cole; and brothers, Frank, Walter, Benjamin, John, Edward and Theodore Kurcz. He is survived by wife of 50 years, Kathleen Matulevicz Kurcz; two sons, Mark Kurcz, Andy Kurcz and Sarah; two grandsons, Austin and Brandon Kurcz all of Sherwood; one sister, Mary Udron (Frank) of Omaha, Nebraska; and his furry pal, Jake.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7000 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116.
Cremation arrangements by North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home with the Rosary to follow at 4:00 p.m. Online obituary and guest registry at www.smithfamilycares.com.
