Azielee Kepley George

Dear Jane and family,
Though I've been away from Hopewell several centuries it seems, Mrs. George remains locked in memory--along with others of the George family--for many little reasons. May God's peace be present to all of you now and always.

Have been sitting around the house all day today thinking about seeing Azailee once again this coming September at our 50th Class Reunion. When I sat down at the computer and decided to look at the news from Hopewell, it took my breath away to see that Azailee had passed away. When I sat down at the computer and decided to look at the news from Hopewell, it took my breath away to see that Azailee had passed away. All these years I have been so grateful to her for the wonderful way she taught me typing. I literally owe my professional career to what I learned from her. We started out with manual typewriters and Azailee struggled with us as we brought electric typewriters into being. I had the honor and pleasure of knowing both of her parents and her wonderful and beautiful daughter Jane. Jane, I am so sorry for your loss and for the fact that I will not get to see your mom again when I am there this September. I remember asking Azailee back in 1960, with no prior knowledge whatsoever, "Have you ever had the Kaleidoscope dedicated to you before?" I can see her face now when she replied, "What do you mean before?" And, of course, at the assembly that afternoon, it was announced that it had been dedicated to her. No one had ever before, or since, deserved it more. What a beautiful and wonder person she was in every way! My love to you Jane and your family. Kenn Ballowe

Like so many others have shared, I had Mrs. George for advanced typing and shorthand class. She did have patience with her students and had a genuine interest in each of them. It says alot about her character knowing she made such a lasting impact on so many students. Rest in peace Mrs. George knowing you influenced so many students in the business world. Thoughts & prayers are with your family.

Mrs. George was one of my favorite teachers. She was so patient with me even though I was a lousy typist and still am. She went out of her way to be kind. She never embarrassed me even though I typed worse than anyone in the class. She was a wonderful lady and I shall always remember her. The fact that I still do 52 years laters best describes what a wonderful teach she was. She will be missed.

Mrs. George, was definitely a community minded person. Serving on our library board is a patriotic and caring committment. Our library was fortunate to have her service and we are better off because of it. We are keeping her in our thoughts and prayers.

Mrs. George was a very bright woman who always had a smile on her face. I looked forward to going to work everyday because of her. She will be missed by all of us at Riverview.

Azeilee, I will always remember your sense of humor. You could always make me laugh. I always loved to hear the stories of your family and many travels. Jane was a blessed girl indeed to have you for a mother.
I love you and you will be missed. You were one of a kind.

She was one of the best!! She was friendly toward students
but we knew she was our teacher. In large part because of
her example, I, too, went on to study business education
and become a business teacher myself. When I did teach,
I used many of her excellent methods in my classroom.
Right after I graduated from college, she invited me to
return to HHS and observe

get ideas and I took her up on it. We spent a lovely day
together and she treated me to lunch and gave me lots of
teaching tips she had picked up over the years. She was a
wonderful woman and teacher, and I will NEVER ever forget

My condolences to your family in the loss of Azailee. My parents Louise and Howard Rackley, who are also both resting peacefully in Heaven were friends with Albert and Azailee. I remember them visiting our home many times when I was a child. May God give you strength thru this time of sadness.
