Beverly Joyce Twining, 79, of Williamsburg, passed away on November 6, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Andrew Twining.

A devoted pastor's wife, Beverly was also a loving mother and grandmother who took joy in working with children at Smith Memorial Baptist Church in Williamsburg, both in the nursery and with older children in the Awana program. She developed special relationships and held the children close to her heart. Always outgoing and cheerful, she loved everyone.

Beverly is survived by her two sons, Harold Twining and his wife, Melissa; and David Twining and his wife, Thao; three grandchildren, Xavier, Nathaniel, and Jett; two sisters, Bertha Magnus and her husband, William; and Helen Ramey; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 9 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd, Williamsburg. A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, November 10 at 2:00 PM at Smith Memorial Baptist Church, Williamsburg, with interment following at Williamsburg Memorial Park.
