Robert E. Harrison
Robert Edward Harrison, Sr., husband of Gail Lilly Harrison, died February 4th, 2013, at the age of 83.
Born in Hopewell, VA, on June 16th, 1929, he was a son of the late John Dawson Harrison, Sr., and Lena Bailey Harrison.
Mr. Harrison graduated from Hopewell High School in 1946 and went on to graduate from Bob Jones University with a B.A. in Bible and a certificate in teaching. He remained on staff as the University Host and Director of Public Relations from 1955-1983 and then opened Bob Harrison's Films and Videos, which was later changed to Faith Videos. He was a loving brother, husband, father, grandfather, and servant of the Lord.
In addition to his wife Gail Harrison, Bob is survived by 2 sons and their wives, Robert E. Harrison, Jr. and wife Sheri, of Pennsylvania and Ronald E. Harrison and wife Sherri of California; 3 grandsons, Bobby, Ryan, and Jay; 2 granddaughters, Claire and Lauren; and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Josephine Blount, Idell Ainge, and Mary Frazier, and 3 brothers, Joseph Everett Harrison, John Dawson Harrison, and John Raleigh Harrison.
The viewing will be held at The Mackey Mortuary on February 7th, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Feb 8th at Calvary Baptist Church in Simpsonville at 1:00 p.m., with the Dr. Bob Jones III, of Bob Jones University presiding. Following the funeral services a burial for family and friends will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Greenville, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Calvary Bapt. Church Bldg Fund. 3810 Grandview Dr. Simpsonville, SC 29680
