Mr. Carey Noorwood Stewart

Carey N. Stewart, 87, of Mineral, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine "Rosa" Stewart. He is survived by five children, Nadine Trivette (Red), Ricky Stewart (Carolyn Gaultney), Donald Stewart (Eva), Jessie Stewart, Allen Stewart (Pam); grandchildren, Jason Hudson (Annie), Jennifer Hunter (Clarence), Allen Stewart, Jr., and Paige Stewart; six great- grandchildren; brothers, A.W. Stewart and Clifton Stewart. Mr. Stewart was a life time member of Broadus Memorial Baptist Church and he was employed with Henrico County Public Schools for over 30 years. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8:30 PM on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Visitation starts again at 6 PM Wednesday, January 16, at the Calvary Baptist Church, 2663 High Plains Rd., Roxboro, N.C. 27574, where funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, January 17. Interment will follow in church cemetery. Rev. Norman Talley Officiating.
