Love Emblem

Hayes, VA: Carole Ann White passed into eternity on December 30, 2012, surrounded by her loving family after a long, hard fought struggle with emphysema. Carole was born December 8, 1938 in Hollidaysburg, PA. Carole was a person of great strength and truth, and her passion was the love she shared with her family. She was a loving wife, mother and friend that will be missed by all who were blessed to have known her. She is survived by and was the loving wife to John C. White for 55 years. Also, survived by son, John C. White, Jr. and wife Dorothy of Newport News, VA; daughters, Renae M. Phelps and husband Sean of Berea, KY. and Shawn Ann Poths and husband, Gary of Grafton, VA; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and sister, Sandra Brown of Newry, PA.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
