Gendron, Carolyn Ann, 62, of Ashland, who fought cancer for 16 years, passed away on June 28, 2012. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, David J. Gendron; four sons, Clifford (Shari), Wayne (Aleasa), David (Krystal) and Joseph; four brothers, three sisters, and six grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 2, 2012 from 6-8:30PM at the Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Wash. Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. A graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memory Gardens on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 10:00AM, a reception will follow at Gwathmey Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Gwathmey Baptist Church Building Fund, 11232 Gwathmey Church Rd., Ashland, VA 23005.
