Carolyn was our trusted sitter for our beloved cat, Ping, for much of the eleven years that we lived in Williamsburg. We became friends and then colleagues, looking after a feral cat colony together. Carolyn did the committed daily caretaking and I trapped cats for spay, neuter and vaccinations, returning them to their colony for Carolyn to look after day-to-day.

About a year after Ping died of old age, Carolyn asked me to trap a young cat in our colony

About a year after Ping died of old age, Carolyn asked me to trap a young cat in our colony with a severe leg injury. She required an amputation, and thus wasn't likely to prosper if returned to the colony. Coincidentally, she was a Tortoiseshell, like our Ping... Six months of rabies quarantine later (in our family room), Valentina was ours... and still is, almost 10 years later. I'm fairly sure that Carolyn expected this little three-legged Tortoiseshell cat would find the way to my heart.

Carolyn, your goodness and dedication to animal welfare is truly missed.

So sad to hear about Carol's passing. I'll always remember her smile. I first knew her when she attended Ferguson High School and later we worked together at Badische. Hugs to Judy and the rest of her family.

It was with great sadness that I read about Carol passing away today. Carol was one of the kindest, sweet and gentle human beings I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and reminded me very much of her own Mother. It has been some years since I last talked to her but will always remember her smile and easy manner when she was around me. I know the Lord will take good care of her and know she is in the arms of her family who have gone on before her and loved her very much.

My husband, Steve and I were so sad to hear of Carolyn's passing! She took very good care of our cats for years even the ones with special needs. Over the years Carolyn and I became friends as well. She knew that she was always in my prayers and I know we were always in hers. She was such a sweet and giving person. She will be missed. I hope all of her rescued kitties will find loving homes.

I am so sorry to learn of Carolyn's passing. She helped us out so many times, taking such good care of our cats. She took care of our first two when needed for over 16 years. For the past several months she took care of our two new kittens. She really loved cats and was so good with them. She left a note for us each time saying what angels they were and how good they were. She was a sweet and kind person and she will be greatly missed.

I was saddened to learn of the death of Carolyn. She took care of our cats for several weeks at a time a few summers ago when we were traveling overseas. She was wonderful and our cats loved all the sweet talk and attention she gave them. She was a very gentle soul who truly loved what she did and enjoyed spending her time with the animals. She will be sorely missed by our furry friends as well as me.
