Carolyn Maple Townsend
Carolyn entered her Heavenly Home on January 7, 2013 at the age of 72. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana on April 11, 1940, she later moved to Westfield, Indiana where she raised her 3 children. She was known for her warm and caring heart, seamstress skills, quilting and crochet work. Everyone with whom she came in contact sensed her love, generosity, and encouragement. Carolyn was preceded in death by her father Harry Maple and Mother Helen Bauer Maple. She is survived by her loving husband Charles Townsend, brother Harry Maple Jr., son Rayburn Stockinger Jr., daughters Sabrina Ruffin, Sherri Echard, Stepdaughter Anna Kennedy, step son Charles Townsend III, 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Celebration of Carolyn's life will be Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 2 pm with visitation from 1 pm till service at Flanner and Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Good Shepherd Chapel, 9700 Allisonville Rd.
