Charles Earl Hoover, 69, of Hopewell passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010 after a lengthy illness. He is preceded in death by his father Ervin B. Hoover and infant son Charles E. Hoover, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife Brenda Ward Hoover, mother Bessie Hoover, daughter; Carolyn Clements and husband Roger, sons; Billy Hoover, Chuck Hoover and wife Debi, grandchildren; Lewis Clements, Daniel Clements, Lindsey Baxter, Billy Jo Hoover, Jeffery Hoover, A.J. Hoover, Casey Hoover, four great grandchildren and brother; Billy F. Hoover. He graduated from West End Christian School and The Business University of Tampa, FL. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, family and most of all his children and their families. The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8:00 PM Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 214 N 6th Ave. Hopewell, VA. where services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, May 10, 2010. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA. Condolences may be registered at www.nelsencares.com
