NORMAN, Charles E. Sr. "Charlie," 89, of Hanover, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ramona H. Norman; his brothers, Julian, Bruce, Sidney Lee and Buster; also a sister, Olivia. He is survived by three sons, Charles E. Jr., E. Wayne and wife, Eleanor, and E. Timothy and wife, Nichole; a daughter, Joni Gantt and husband, Donald "Bubba;" seven grandchildren, Danny Ray, Jennifer, Travis, Brian, Chase, Scott and Anna; one great-grandchild, Hunter; his sisters, Margaret Johnson and Ella Mae Nealis; and one brother, Willis. Charlie proudly served his country during World War II. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Signal Hill Memorial Park. Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, assisting the family.
