Clifford Wesley Jackson, 91, of Beaverdam died Friday, Nov. 4, 2011. Born in Hewlett, he retired in 1996 after operating C.W. Jackson Hauling for 50 years. An active member of County Line Baptist Church, he had served as deacon, treasurer and cemetery committee member. During World War II, he served in the U. S. Army in the Pacific. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Doris S. Jackson; his daughter-in-law, Susan Jackson; two granddaughters, Amy Houston and her husband, Jason, and Rachel Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Wendell Jackson. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6 at County Line Baptist Church, Ruther Glen. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, at the church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made the church.
