WEST COLUMBIA A Celebration of Life for Corinne Bynum Cloud, 95, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2013, at Northside Baptist Church, 4347 Sunset Blvd., Lexington. Interment will be held at 10:30 a.m. in Woodridge Memorial Park and visitation will follow the celebration of life service at the church. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.
Corinne died Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Born in Rogersville, Ala., she was a daughter of the late Gurley M. and Minnie Sophia Burns Bynum. She met Stephen L. Cloud while attending Bob Jones University. He later proposed by writing Psalm 34:3 "Glorify the Lord with me, let us exalt His name together." They faithfully served the Lord together while pasturing churches over a period of 70 years.
The Clouds moved to Columbia in 1999 where they were actively involved at Northside Baptist Church in West Columbia. After his home going in 2005, Corinne continued to love and minister to all she came in contact with in her gracious way. Her sincere love for Jesus and depth of character has continued to be a testimony to all those she came in contact with during her last year as a resident at Harbor Chase. The family is deeply grateful to the support staff at Harbor Chase and many dear friends who have loved and ministered to her every need.
Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Stephen M. and Trish Cloud of West Columbia; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Ron Gaylor of Lynchburg, Va.; six grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northside Baptist Church, 4347 Sunset Blvd., Lexington SC 29072.
Her heart's desire would be that you would know and love her Savior, Jesus Christ, and faithfully serve Him until He calls you home. She is home!
