It is with great sadness that the family of Denise Anne Burke announces her passing at home in Prince George on Saturday, April 17, 2010.
She was a treasured mother,daughter,sister, and friend to many.

She was born in Hopewell and resided in Prince George for most of her lifetime and was a graduate of Prince George High School Class of 1971.
Ms. Burke was employed with great pride by Dominion Virginia Power. She was the eldest daughter of William P. Burke of Hopewell and the late Goldie C. Burke.

Surviving are her two cherished sons; Jason W. Jackson of Colonial Heights, and Kris P. Jackson and his wife Kelly of Prince George, her five dear grandchildren; Cassidy, Samantha, Thomas, Jakeob, and Stone,four sisters; Brenda K. Burke, Joyce B. Jackson, Janet B. Hotchkiss, and Mary B. Taylor, and one brother; Steven P. Burke.
She will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at the Nelsen Funeral Home 214 N. 6th Ave Hopewell VA, 23860, where services will be held 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 22, 2010 with interment to follow Bermuda Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060.
