Dorothy S. Chenault, 80, of Ruther Glen died Sunday, May 13, 2012.
She had worked for Homemades by Suzanne in Ashland for almost 20 years and was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Lee Chenault. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include five children, Dale Turpin and her husband, Billy, of Newtown; Frankie Chenault and his wife, Pam, Debbie Akers and her husband, Paul, Judy Shupe and Becky Caldera and her husband, Rob all of Ruther Glen; 11 grandchildren Sara Turpin Rowe, Jennifer Chenault Bright, Justin Shupe, John Turpin, Apryl Akers, Randy Chenault, Trevor Chenault, Josh Akers, Eric Shupe, Whitney Akers and Corey Akers; and seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Davis and a brother, Darrell Knighton and a devoted friend, "Sonny" Ancarrow.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green with Dr. David Upshaw officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon United Methodist Church Cemetery, Ruther Glen. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the funeral home.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue 7th Fl, New York, NY 10001 or Mt. Vernon UMC Cemetery Fund, c/o Donna Trout, 20533 Point Eastern Drive, Ruther Glen, VA. 22546.
