Mrs. Edna Byrd Bennett Norris, 84, of NC 55 East in Dunn died Monday morning January 28, 2013 at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehab in Benson.

She was born October 4, 1928 in Harnett County; the daughter of the late Percy Ward Byrd and Myrtha Beasley Byrd.

Edna was a member of Midway Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 30, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Cromartie-Miller and Lee Funeral Home Chapel with The Rev. Edwin Norris officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens near Angier.

Surviving:

Son: Connie William Bennett and wife Doris of Dunn

Daughters: Dorothy Jean Boonkokua and husband Manus of Riverside, Ca.
Bonnie Holland and husband Gary of Roanoke, Va.

Grandchildren: Brian Kevin Bennett of Raleigh,William Boonkokua of Riverside, Ca., Meredith Butterfield of Bear, De. and Whitney Lesniak of Williamsburg, Va.

Twelve Great-Grandchildren.

Brother: Donnie Byrd and wife Becky of Goldsboro

She was also preceded in death by:

Husbands: William Bennett and T.P. Norris

Grandson: Connie William Bennett, Jr.
Brother: W.J. Byrd
Sister: Geraldine Hinson

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday January 29, 2013 at the funeral home.
