Edna “Fay” Waters Nichols, 79, of Prince George passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Nichols was preceded in death by her sister, Lucille Waters Allen. Edna was a life long member of the West End Presbyterian Church where she was Day Care Director for many years. She is survived by her husband of fifty seven years, Leland Nichols, a son, Donald A. Nichols, a daughter, Terri Proctor, five grandchildren, Adam and Joseph Hebler, Jessica Wilbur, Seth and Alison Nichols, two great grandchildren, Taylor and Reed Wilbur. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 pm Thursday, April 14, 2011 at the West End Presbyterian Church and where funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, April 15, 2011 with Rev. Wayne Good officiating. Interment will follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Garden. Memorial contributions may be made to the Crater Community Hospice, 3916 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, VA 23805.
