Elfrieda E. Borchers, age 98 of Russia, Ohio died at 10:20 AM on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Versailles Health Care. She was born January 1, 1915 in Russia, Ohio, to the late Leo & Margaret (Marchal) Voisard. She married Urban F. Borchers on October 30, 1937. He preceded her in death on February 15, 2008. She is survived by her children: Ed & & Merilyn Borchers, Russia, Erna & Charles Voisard, Russia, Carolyn & Emmett Joseph, Beavercreek, Joan & John Glaser, Beavercreek, Jerry & Susan Borchers, Russia, Judie & Ron Stauffer, Versailles, Don & Treva Borchers, Russia, Greg & Carol Borchers, Russia, 31 grandchildren & 54 great grandchildren, sister Sr. Carmen Voisard, C.PP.S., Dayton. She was preceded in death by brothers & sisters, Mildred Moorman, Joseph Voisard, Sr. Yvonne Voisard, Cecelia Borchers, Sr. Mary Louise Voisard & Raymond Voisard. She was a member of St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia, Ohio, the St. Anne's Rosary Alter Sodality and the C.L. of C., Russia. She also volunteered at Maria Stein, Retreat House, Piqua Rehabilitation Center and was a Grey Lady at Piqua Hospital. She was a farmer's wife & a homemaker. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Monday Janaury 21, 2013 at St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia with Rev. Frank Amberger Celebrant. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Russia from 1:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, January 20, 2013 and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Monday, January 21. Burial will take place in St. Remy Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Glen Mary Home Missions and Spiritual Center of Maria Stein.
