Elnora T. Carter. 75 of Doswell, VA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 22, at VCU Medical Center (formerly MCV).

She is survived by a devoted husband, Edwin "Putt" Carter; a devoted son, Ernest L Goodman and wife Sharon, stepson Lyn Carter and his wife, Laura; six grandchildren Dawn Smith (and Jordan) Amanda Goodman, Allison, Jake and Billy Carter, two great- grandchildren, Kohen and Kasen Smith; two surviving sisters Mae Goodman and Bonnie Meadows; one brother Luther Thomas, and a host of other relatives and friends, among them Julia Carter Hollowell.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 24, at Storke Funeral Home, 111 South Main St., Bowling Green. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in her name be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Virginia Chapter, 565 Southlake Blvd., Richmond, VA. 23236.
