Ernest "Eugene" Sale, 88 of Woodford, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday September 5, 2012. Born in Caroline County, Mr. Sale was a loving father and grandfather. He was a WW II Navy veteran and had retired as owner and operator of E. E. Sale Trucking. He was an active member of Round Oak Baptist Church and was recently named "Deacon Emeritus".
He was preceded in death by his wife Elnora. He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Martin of Woodford; two sons, Russell and his wife Kay of Spotsylvania and Dennis and his wife Cindy of Woodford; one sister, Laura Mae Marguccio of Woodford; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and devoted friend, Pat Holmes.
A funeral will be held Saturday September 8th at 11:00 AM in Round Oak Baptist Church, Corbin, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, Friday from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association 4217 Park Place Ct. Glen Allen VA 23060.
