Ethel Mae Bienvenu Bonfanti departed this life and entered peacefully into Heaven on February 25, 2013. She grew up in New Orleans and attended McDonough 35. She was an active member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish where she was a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the altar society, and an active member of the youthful elders. In 1997, she was awarded the Catholic Charities Senior Citizen medal. She was a long time employee of D. H. Holmes. Ethel is survived by her children: Sylvia Brown (Steve), Mario Michael Bonfanti, Jr. (Linda), Carol Flad, Laureen Lamonte (Kenny), Mary Dominach (Don), Laura Froeba (Ray), Joseph Bonfanti (Krissi), and honorary daughter Becky Radosta (Frank); her grandchildren: Danielle Ash (Michael), Tony Brown (Jennie), Larry Flad (Sandra), Toni Flad (Tony), Michelle Baze (Brian), Kenneth Michael Lamonte, Jennifer Dominach (Doug), Mario Dominach, Jason Froeba (Emily), Brian Froeba (Allison), Joseph Bonfanti, Jr. (Sadie), John Andrew Bonfanti, and Jacob Bonfanti; her great-grandchildren: Isaac Ash, Larry Flad, Laura Johnson, Nathan Johnson, Kaitlyn Johnson, Lauren Baze, Annemarie Froeba, Isabel Froeba, and Madeline Froeba, and her sister, Doris Sninchak (Joe). She was preceded in death by her husband,
Mario Michael Bonfanti, Sr., her parents, Virginia Bischoff and Joseph Bienvenu, her sisters, Virgie Wallace and Elma Rita Thonn.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at ST. CATHERINE OF SIENA CATHOLIC CHURCH, 105 Bonnabel Blvd., Metairie, La. 0n Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 3:00 P.M.
