Franklin D. Jenkins

Newport News: Franklin Delano Jenkins, 74, died August 23, 2012 at his home. Franklin was a native of Gloucester County, and served his country in the U S Army. Franklin enjoyed hunting, especially deer, duck and dove hunting. He was a Yankees fan and loved watching old western movies. He was retired as a dispatcher from Benson - Phillips and also worked at H & R Block Tax Company. He loved his family and they will miss him greatly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley E. Sr. and Louise Jenkins; and brothers, Stanley E. Jenkins, Jr. and William Jenkins.
He is survived by:

Sister: Jean Reeves (Bobby)
Brother: Ralph Jenkins (Sheryl)
Special Aunt: Charlotte Hall (Tom)
And a host of other relatives and close friends.
Funeral services officiated by Pastor Steve Sales will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment with military honors will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
