Gene Mason passed away on July 9th, 2012 in St. Mary's Hospital, after a short illness surrounded by friends and neighbors. He was predeceased by his Father and Mother and an older sister. Gene is survived by his sister, Dona Onyett of Oklahoma, Nephew Lee Godfrey and Neice Rebecca Andrews. Born in Dallas, TX, he moved around alot....his Father was in the Marine Corps.....settling in Texas for many years until he moved to Virginia. He was a man who lived life as he wanted...and was happy for it. He was employed by Virginia Barbecue Lakeside for many years. There will be a Memorial Service at the Lakeside Moose Lodge at 6:30 PM on Monday July 16, 1012.
