Hayes: Genova Sparkman Waddles, 93, passed away February 25, 2012 at her home. A native of Knott County, Kentucky she was a homemaker and a member of Providence Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and being with family. Genova enjoyed life to the fullest and her love for family and friends made her so special.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Annie Sparkman; her beloved husband, Lloyd G. Waddles; daughter, Ruby Merritt; sons-in-law, Thomas G. Merritt and Thomas J. Hogge; grandson, Barry T. Hogge; 6 sisters and a brother.
She is survived by:

Funeral services officiated by Reverend Dr. Richard Croxton and Reverend Dr. Thomas Gaskins will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Providence Baptist Church, with interment to follow in Peninsula Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
