Gertrude Wright Amalfitano, 100, of Bowling Green passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Bowling Green Health and Rehab Center.
Gertrude was a member of Bowling Green United Methodist Church.
She is survived by four nieces Norma T. Soper of Tappahannock, Barbara J. Lawson and her husband, Ellwood of Richmond, Joyce C. Rogas and her husband, Lewis and Judy F. Espelage and her husband, James all of Ohio; one nephew, William Johnston and his wife, Donna; a special friend Kitty Pitsenbarger and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Gertrude's caretaker, Delilah Reynolds.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Cora Wright of Bowling Green, a brother, Stuart H. Wright and four sisters, Sallie Johnston, Dorothy Sheffield, Clara Collier and Nancy Fisher.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green with Rev. Jimy Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
