Gina Florence Score Soles passed away July 21, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.

Gina was born and raised in Williamsburg, VA. She met her soul mate, Earl L. Soles, Jr. while both were working summer jobs in Williamsburg. After a brief courtship, they married. Gina and Earl raised their family in the historic area of Williamsburg, where Earl was employed by Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.

Upon Earl's retirement from Colonial Williamsburg, they moved to "The Havir" on the Piankatank and resided in their dream home Earl built. A few years later, Gina retired from Greenwood Pre-School.

Gina was a true friend to everyone she met and had unconditional compassion for her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was a member of Lower United Methodist Church.

Gina was predeceased by her parents, Bert Ingvald and Mabelle Florence Briggs Score, her in-laws, Earl Lumpkin and Emma Beatrice Hudgins Soles, brother-in-laws, Mandley Ray Johnston and Lincoln B. Mitchell , and infant niece, Inga Florence Mitchell.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Earl Lumpkin Soles, Jr.; son, Stephen Earl Soles, his wife Dee, their daughter Laura Summer Prowom Soles; daughter, Gina Katherine Walsh, her husband Kevin, and their children, Michael Joseph Hipple, Jr., Charles Lumpkin Hipple, and Mary Katherine Hipple; sister, Frances Lamar Mitchell; sister-in-law, Rosa Lou Johnston; and several nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends.

Services for Gina will be private. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
