Helen Esque was granted her angel wings on July 19, 2011. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Helen has touched in some small way throughout her short, yet very memorable life. Helen’s life would seem to short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. She was a remarkable homemaker, who loved spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her cherished son, Joseph Ferguson, brother-in-law, Eugene Edwin Esque and sister-in-law, Carol Sue Esque. She is survived by her devoted husband, Charles Esque, Sr., dedicated sister, Nancy McDaniel; beloved children, Charles Cassell, Carl Ferguson, Hazel Fox, Charles Esque, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Ronda Esque, Diane McComber, Richard Esque; and her treasured grandchildren and precious great grandchildren, a brother-in-law, Harold Ray Esque, four sister-in-laws, Patricia Esque, Joyce Ann Perry, Linda Wooten and Dreama Peters. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:30 pm Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Avenue, Hopewell and where funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Friday, July 22, 2011 with Pastor Jim Hallcom officiating.
