Born September 12, 1954 in New York, Howard A. Bernfeld, 57, a resident of Williamsburg, VA, passed away on August 2, 2012.

Howard worked locally for many years, most recently as a hospitality manager at Great Wolf Lodge. He was a member of Christ Community Church, Toano. He volunteered with the Brooksville Fire Dept. and was a member of the Boy Scouts.

Howard is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Mariann Bernfeld; his son, Robert Bernfeld and his wife, Ashley; his daughters, Miriam Tietjens and her husband, Jerry; and Kristine Patterson and her husband, Tren; and three grandchildren, Gennaro Tietjens, Samuel Bernfeld, and Peyton Patterson.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 4 from 2-3 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd, Williamsburg, followed by a service at 3 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be held on Monday, August 6 at 11:00 AM at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Putnam Valley, NY.
