Irma B. Stevens, 88, a native of Clinton, Illinois and resident of Thibodaux, LA passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2013.
Visitation will be at Christ the Redeemer on Monday, January 21, 2013 from 8:00 AM till funeral time. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
She is survived by her sister, Shirley Smith; godchildren, Trudy Folse and Donna Ponson; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Emile Stevens Jr.; parents, Frank Bailey and Anna Pochura Bailey; son, Daniel Ocsherner.
She was a long time employee at Nicholls State University. The family would like to thank the staff at Thibodaux Healthcare and Journey hospice for the care of Mrs. Irma.
Thibodaux Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
