WEST, James "Jim" Elroy, died on Thursday, August 2, 2012. He was born April 5, 1921, the son of the late James William and Margaret O' Neill West, in Richmond, VA. Jim was a veteran of World War II. serving in the U.S. Navy as a Yeoman. He retired from the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad (CSX) as the District Sales Manager. He traveled extensively around the world and was devoted to his family and church. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Ann West; his nephew, Ronald Marvin West; his niece, Sharon West Hall; two great nieces, two great-great nephews and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Marvin West. A memorial service will be held at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 815 E. Grace Street at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. Contributions may be made to the Altar Guild of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, St. Joseph's Home for the Aged and the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls in Richmond, VA.
