James O. Brooks, Sr. 66, of Woodford died Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Mary Washington Hospital.He was a beloved husband, father and "Pops".

Survivors include his wife, Carol Brooks; three sons, James O. Brooks, Jr. and his wife, Rhonda, Mark Brooks and Brian Brooks and his wife, Shannon; five grandchildren, Hunter, Harley, Haley, Faith and Brian, Jr.; a sister, Elsie Crowell; three brothers, John, Raymond and David Brooks; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Edna Brooks; two brothers, Leroy and Wayne; his mother-in-law, Myrtle Smith and his father-in-law, Roy Smith, Sr.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, February 10, 2013 in the chapel of Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 Saturday at the funeral home.
