Joanne Cacioppo Bourgeois passed away in New York on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late Johnies "John" Bernard Bourgeois. Devoted mother of Clara Bourgeois Cerniglia. Mother-in-law of Dr. Frank R. Cerniglia, Jr. Doting grandmother of Frank R. Cerniglia III and John Anthony Cerniglia. Daughter of the late Anthony B. Cacioppo and Clara Lamanna Cacioppo.
Mrs. Bourgeois received her Bachelor Degree at Loyola University of the South. She was a member of the Saints and Sinners Senior Group at St. Bridget Catholic Church, Richmond, Virginia.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred.
