Joe William Winn

Gloucester: Joe William Winn, 79, died at his home December 16, 2012. Joe was a native of North Carolina, served in the Air Force and had been an associate with Quinn Motors, Inc. for 15 years as a Sales Representative and lived in Gloucester for the past 30 years. He was a devout Christian who loved to read his Bible daily and read the Bible to his grandchildren regularly. Joe loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar. He was a wonderful listener and advisor and was completely dedicated to his wife, children and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Aurelia "Rea" Winn; son, Doug Winn and wife Angela Watkins-Winn; daughter, Lori Wells and husband Kenneth; grandchildren, Brooke Nicole Winn and fiancé Derek Goodson, Lauren Hope Winn, Williams Hunter Winn and wife Ryann, Amanda Jo Wells, Lee Wells and Nick Watkins; and two great-grandchildren, Makayla Hope Goodson and Landin Shoal Wells. Funeral services officiated by Reverend Michael Gray will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment will follow in Newington Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the funeral home. Following the interment please join family and friends at Petsworth Baptist Church, 2471 Hickory Fork Road Gloucester, VA.
