Mr. John Douglas Javins

John Douglas Javins, 95, of Beaverdam, died Monday, November 21, 2011 at Bowling Green Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Javins had retired after 39 years as superintendent for VDOT in Ladysmith. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Ella Butler Javins. Survivors include his son, Douglas Raymond Javins and his wife, Carolyn; four sisters, Mary Gilley, Margaret Seay, Shirley Keaton, and Ethel Watkins; two grandchildren, Douglas Clay Javins and his wife, Kathryn and Robert Haley Blanton, Jr. and his wife, Melisa; and three great grandchildren, Eleanor Yvonne Javins, Timothy Ryan Blanton, and Christopher Franklin Blanton. A graveside service will be held 3 PM Friday, Nov. 25 at County Line Baptist Church, 3461 Ladysmith Road, Ruther Glen, VA. 22546.
